The first harvest took place in 2007 and, despite the youth of the vines, yielded extraordinary results for all varieties. For this reason Paolo Panerai, the owner of the company, had the idea to combine wine with fashion and invited the best among Italian designers to dress these superb and innovative Sicilian wines. Part of the proceeds from the sale of these wines has been, and it will be used each year for the restoration of an artwork, chosen from the vast array of these scattered throughout the island.
This collaborative enterprise has been got underway with the generous participation of such prestigious designers as Versace, Missoni, Blumarine, Alberta Ferretti, Gianfranco Ferrè, Brioni, Giambattista Valli and Carolina Marengo.
With the 2011 vintage emerged the most difficult and most attractive challenge facing a wine producer: the wine making of Pinot Noir in Sicily. To celebrate this success Feudi del Pisciotto chose the fi rst restores artwork thanks to the proceeds from the Italian Fashion Designer Collection: l’Eterno (the Lord) the name Giacomo Serpotta, eighteenth century genius, bestowed upon that magnifi cent sculpture dedicated to the image of God.
